About the artist: A Montreal-based guitarist with Israeli and Parisian roots, Samuel Bonnet bridges multiple musical universes: “luminous, meticulous technique” (Pan M 360) with “raw authenticity” (Jazz Infos France) and a mastery of the natural resonance of the classical guitar with the adventurous spirit of jazz improvisation. Bonnet uses his trio as an interactive space to creatively explore his pluralistic cultural and musical roots; he offers audiences an intimate and inspirational journey into the heart of his personal contemporary, cosmopolitan experience. Following the acclaimed 2022 release of his first trio album, Hybride, in 2023, Bonnet was a featured artist in the Quebec Showcase at Europe’s prestigious jazzahead! tradeshow in Germany, and he performed more than forty concerts with his trio, including shows in Canada, New York and Paris. Featuring original compositions and arrangements of popular jazz standards, this performance belongs to the Winter 2025 Launch Tour for Bonnet’s new album Live!
